T minus 5 hours...

I think I may have set a new record for the amount of stuff that can be crammed into a carry-on suitcase. Trying to get it to zip shut reminded me of the way people used to get old trunks to close: assign someone to sit on top of it while another person latches it. Thankfully, the suitcase only required an elbow, not a person...

It's hard to believe that I'll be in England tomorrow morning. I've been interested in the Oxford study abroad program ever since the end of my senior year of high school, which means that this trip has been over two years in the planning. It doesn't seem as if it could have been that long, or as if I'm about to start my junior year, or even as if I'll really be sitting on a plane in five hours. But there it is.

Throughout the semester, I'll be posting updates and photos here. I hope you enjoy the blog as much as I'm going to enjoy studying abroad!

Please be careful. I hope that your plane flight goes well.
