Here are the pictures from the Hampton Court Palace trip last Wednesday.
Henry VIII (or at least, someone pretending to be him):
The Great Hall from the Tudor-era palace:
One of the gardens had beds and beds full of roses - the scent was so thick on the air that you didn't have to be anywhere near a flower to smell it.
This area was called "The Wilderness," but it wasn't all that wild. Still, it was probably my favorite area of the gardens. Certainly it was the quietest area.
This was one of the most formal areas of the gardens, over on the other side of the palace. This end of Hampton Court overlooks the Thames River.
I took a lot of pictures of flowers, in case you hadn't noticed...
And of course I had to take a picture of the horses...I'm assuming they were probably Shires.
I'm trying to figure out how to make photos smaller so that they'll upload faster in the future, so no photos from London just yet. Hopefully they'll be up soon.
